Giant Cookies

Makes about 15 cookies

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine butter, sugar, golden syrup, and milk. Stir over low heat until butter has melted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Add vanilla essence to the cooled mixture.
  4. Sift the flour and baking soda into a large bowl. Add the Milk Melts.
  5. Pour in the butter mixture and mix thoroughly.
  6. Scoop 1/4 cup of dough and roll into a ball. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  7. Place balls on two ungreased oven trays and press down to flatten, allowing space for spreading.
  8. Bake one tray at a time for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack to cool completely.
